At Castle Hill we are:

•  developing relationships both in commercial and further educational establishments to ensure a greater awareness of disability and related issues.
•  establishing two way inclusive links into mainstream schools and further educational establishments for the benefit of all schools, pupils, families and communities.

Our students here at Castle Hill benefit from a wide variety of community links which allow them to meet new people and appreciated different environments, an essential part in raising self esteem and confidence.

Castle Hill School places great value on students and volunteers who spend time with us. At the present time we are working closely with Huddersfield University, Kirklees and Greenhead College .We are also registered with Volunteering Kirklees and Links 4 Work and can support Sure Start programmes for people wanting to get back to work.

Students and volunteers spend time in classes and can use their knowledge to work in specific areas of our curriculum, for example:

  sports coaches and swimming instructors  can help with swimming and hydrotherapy sessions.

  musicians and art students can help with lunchtime activity clubs and art projects.
